Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM begins Feb. 19
EMP|SFM in partnership with The Warren Report, present a new film series, Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. The series includes new films, cult favorites and classic sci-fi and music films. Each screening is followed by a behind-the-scenes look through an interactive discussion with actors, directors or screenwriters associated with the film. The screenings and discussions are hosted by local film connoisseur Warren Etheredge or an EMP|SFM curator.

In collaboration with EMP|SFM’s new film series, Revolution Bar & Grill is pleased to offer a film-themed happy hour before the screenings. Filmgoers can stop by the restaurant to mingle and take advantage of appetizer and drink specials from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on these nights. Revolution Bar & Grill is located inside the EMP|SFM building.

Admission is free to EMP|SFM members and The Warren Report members, and general admission is $5. Tickets for the following three films go on sale tomorrow, Jan. 30. Tuesday, Feb. 19 – Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM – Heathers with Screenwriter Daniel Waters:
EMP|SFM, in partnership with The Warren Report, presents a new film series, Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. The series includes new films, cult favorites and classic sci-fi and music films. Each screening is followed by a behind-the-scenes look through an interactive discussion with actors, directors or screenwriters associated with the film. In February, cult favorite, Heathers will be screened followed by a conversation with Screenwriter Daniel Waters. Local film connoisseur Warren Etheredge will host the evening.

In addition to writing the screenplay for Heathers, Daniel Waters wrote the screenplay for Hudson Hawk, Batman Returns and Demolition Man. He received the best director award at last year’s Seattle International Film Festival for Sex and Death 101.

Wednesday, March 19 – Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM – The Other Side of the Mirror:
Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival with Oscar-winning Documentarian Murray Lerner
EMP|SFM, in partnership with The Warren Report, presents a new film series, Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. The series includes new films, cult favorites and classic sci-fi and music films. Each screening is followed by a behind-the-scenes look through an interactive discussion with actors, directors or screenwriters associated with the film. In March, The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival will be screened followed by a conversation with Oscar-winning Documentarian Murray Lerner. Jasen Emmons, director of curatorial affairs for EMP, will host the evening.

Murray Lerner has created documentary films featuring Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Isaac Stern, The Who and The Doors. The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan Live at the Newport Folk Festival highlights Bob Dylan’s appearances at the festival between 1963 and 1965 when he transitioned from enigmatic folk singer to emerging rock icon.

EMP|SFM, in partnership with The Warren Report, presents a new film series, Exposed: Inside Film at EMP|SFM. The series includes new films, cult favorites and classic sci-fi and music films. Each screening is followed by a behind-the-scenes look through an interactive discussion with actors, directors or screenwriters associated with the film. In April, The Golden Compass will be screened followed by a conversation with Writer and Director Chris Weitz. Local film connoisseur Warren Etheredge will host the evening.

Chris Weitz directed American Pie, About A Boy and most recently, The Golden Compass. He also wrote the screenplay for The Golden Compass and About A Boy, which was nominated for an Oscar.

Warren Etheridge
Warren Etheredge is the Founder of The Warren Report (thewarrenreport.com), a film arts organization that stages year-round screening, seminars, screenplay readings and classes. The Warren Report is also a television series. Additionally, Warren is one of the founding faculty members of The Film School (thefilmschool.com), Seattle's populist response to the Sundance Institute. He is also the President of Lockspring Pictures, a movie development and production company. And, for six years, Warren served as the Curator of the 1 Reel Film Festival (at Bumbershoot). Warren can be heard every Friday morning on KOMO 1000 AM, reviewing movies.


Museum Hours:
EMP|SFM is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from September 4, 2007 through May 22, 2008. EMP|SFM will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 23, 2008 through September 1, 2008.

Museum Admission:
General adult admission to both Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) is $15. Admission for seniors, youth, military and students (w/ID) is $12, and admission for children under 5 is free. One ticket gives access to both museums.
