IMAX in Cascadia

The Pacific Northwest has a wealth of IMAX Theaters to see the best picture quality films available on the planet. This past year, we've seen some major news stories about AMC Theaters announcing IMAX in the Greater Seattle Area. We've also just received word this month that a new IMAX Theater has been announced to open at the Lincoln Square Cinemas in Bellevue. I hope this is just the begining of seeing more of these theaters opening in the region.

Here's the most updated list I could create covering IMAX Theaters in Cascadia.

Any good "eats" suggestions from Cascadia fandom?

As the line from the NWSFS MFR page says "Fen are not ashamed (or afraid!) to eat", and while I know my favorite places are to munch and crunch, I would also like to know where other fans like to eat. and not just in the Seattle area but all over the Cascadia region (WA, OR, ID, and BC).

Come on, there has got to be some favorite fan places out there that you would like to share with the rest of fandom!

I bet there's a great burger joint in Bellingham that you want to boast about? What about Pizza in Portland, or meatloaf in Moscow? And I know that there are some excellent food venues up in Vancouver and Victoria.

If you know of a great place for fans to eat, and would like to share with the rest of fandom then leave a comment to this entry. I'll approve it, really! You are always free to comment to this blog. Cheers! ~ Jim

(Yeah I know, the "Pizza in Portland, or meatloaf in Moscow" stuff is really corny. My writing is so-so, and that's all the more reason for other fans to contribute to this blog :)

Star Wars: The Eye of Darkness

Hey gang! Both Isaac and I have been asking if anyone out there knows what happened to the fan film "Star Wars: The Eye of Darkness" that was being shot in and around Tacoma last year?

Here is the URL for the film's site: http://www.theeyeofdarkness.com

If you have any information feel free to drop us a line at: nwsfsnews AT gmail DOT com

I'd also like to take this time to once again beg, plead, whine, and whimper for any local fan (WA, OR, ID, and BC) who has an interest in contributing to this blog to please contact me, so we can discuss what topics you would like to post about and get you set up. There's a lot of news out there and we can use all the help we can get. Cheers ~ Jim
